This Privacy Policy explains how Medical Mastery (“we”, “us”), operated by Dr Gopikrishnan Palanivel (sole proprietor), Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600083, India, collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use medicalmastery.co.in. It is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and rules thereunder, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email address, username, password (stored as a salted hash — we never see your plain password).
- Billing data: billing name and address, phone number, and your chosen membership plan. Payment credentials (card numbers, UPI IDs, netbanking logins) are collected and processed directly by Razorpay, our RBI-regulated payment aggregator, and never touch our servers. Razorpay’s handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
- Usage data: pages and study stations you access, playback preferences (such as chosen voice and speed), device/browser type, and IP address — used to run the service, remember your settings, and improve content.
- Communications: emails or messages you send to our support address.
2. How we use your data
- To create and manage your account and deliver the content you have subscribed to.
- To process payments, renewals, invoices (including GST invoices on request), and to correct billing errors.
- To respond to support requests and grievances.
- To send service messages (payment receipts, renewal reminders, material changes to terms). Marketing emails, such as new-subject launch announcements, are sent only with your consent and always include an unsubscribe link.
- To secure the platform, prevent fraud and credential sharing, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not display third-party advertising on the Site.
3. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for login sessions and site security, and functional cookies that remember preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent login from working.
4. Who we share data with
- Razorpay — payment processing.
- Hostinger — our hosting and infrastructure provider, which stores the Site’s database.
- Email: transactional emails (receipts, notifications) are sent from our own hosting infrastructure; we do not use a third-party email marketing provider.
- Government or judicial authorities where required by law.
Each provider receives only the data needed for its function.
5. Data retention
Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and thereafter as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes (generally up to 8 years for financial records under Indian law). You may request deletion of your account data; we will delete or anonymise it except where retention is legally required.
6. Security
The Site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, access to the database is restricted, and payment data is handled exclusively by Razorpay under PCI-DSS. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the authorities as required under applicable law.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to access a summary of your personal data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure (subject to legal retention), nominate a representative, and raise grievances. To exercise any right, email support@medicalmastery.co.in from your registered email address. We respond within 30 days.
8. Children
The Site is intended for medical graduates and professionals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
